The Jesters.

Such pride we hold in our mortal heart,
Can’t tell ourselves and the devil apart
So blinded are we to all that is good,
That what life is, we never understood.

Crystal waters browning to death,
The air rotting with our every breath,
What a mockery of life have we made,
What a beautiful world we have betrayed.

In the kingdom of the universe,
The jesters are we,
Chasing a few pence, and full of idiocy.
